Intermeshing cutter systems
DUAL-SHAFT SHREDDER CUTTERS.
Hooked cutter discs and spacer sets for slow-speed, high-torque twin-shaft shredders.
Stack geometry
The cutter is one part of a complete shaft stack.
Outside diameter, bore profile, thickness and hook arrangement work together with spacers and cleaning fingers.
- Outside diameter and cutter thickness
- Hex, square, keyed or spline bore
- Hook count, direction and tip profile
- Spacer thickness and stack arrangement
- Target material and expected contaminants
| Product terms | Dual shaft shredder blade, twin shaft cutter, hook knife, cutter disc |
|---|---|
| Common forms | Single-hook, multi-hook, toothed and segmented cutters |
| Wear focus | Hook rounding, side wear, bore deformation, chipping |
| Quote input | Cutter drawing, stack diagram, sample or verified dimensions |
Left- and right-hand cutters may appear similar. Mark rotation and shaft position when sending samples or photographs.
Assembly control
A correct cutter can still fail in the wrong stack.
Total stack length, left- and right-hand orientation, spacer width and cleaning-finger clearance must be controlled together. Send the shaft layout when replacing more than one cutter position.
Handedness
Mark shaft, rotation and hook direction before removing worn parts.
Bore
Verify flats, keyways, spline form and fit—not only the nominal size.
Spacer
Record spacer thickness and the order of every stack component.
Side clearance
Confirm cutter overlap and the relationship to cleaning fingers.
