Recycling application
PLASTIC SHREDDER BLADES.
Replacement knives for plastic film, rigid scrap, pipe, profiles, lumps and production waste.
Application fit
“Plastic” covers very different cutting conditions.
Thin film wraps and stretches. Thick purgings demand bite and toughness. Filled or contaminated plastics accelerate abrasion.
- Film, bags and woven material
- Pipe, profiles and thick-wall scrap
- Lumps, purgings and production rejects
- Post-consumer rigid plastic
- Glass-filled or mineral-filled compounds

A blade used for clean PE film should not automatically be specified the same way as one used for abrasive glass-filled scrap.
Feedstock differences
Describe how the plastic behaves in the cutting chamber.
Material form can matter as much as polymer type. Flexible film can wrap; thick lumps can shock-load an edge; glass or mineral fillers can turn a clean cutting duty into an abrasive one.
Film
Prioritize controlled clearance and a sharp cutting relationship to reduce wrapping.
Rigid parts
State wall thickness, part size and whether metal inserts are present.
Purgings
Report the largest lump size and any impact damage seen on current knives.
Filled compounds
Identify glass, mineral or dirt content when abrasive wear is unusually fast.
